What do you know....Lily Came Out!!!!

Quick birth story:

My water broke at 7:30 Tuesday morning the day before my due date. Went to the hospital.....not really dilated....-4 station.....no effacement, so very discouraging. The gave me cytotech which worked like crazy and started labor. I walked....bounced on the birthing ball....and labored in the tub. I asked for some nubain for the pain, which helped for 4 contractions and then I got a narcotic in my IV....it also only helped for a few contractions....the pain was unbelievable. After I got to 5cm it went so fast. I passed up the other patients who had been at 8cm for a while, and my midwife came to stay with me. I could not help but push and I was only 8.5cm...she would tell me to stop and breath, which was so very hard.....but in two contractions I was complete and 2 min of pushing Miss Lillian Ilene Pierce was born at 10:32pm on March 24th. Weighing 7lbs 13oz and 20.5 inches long. Perfect in every way. She came so fast her head did not even mold....no cone head this time, but it did not give her a chance to get rid of all the fluid and mucus, almost like a c-section baby.....it's been a little scary.

We are all in love with our new addition. Aidan is an Awesome big brother and loves to give her kisses and is always telling her how cute she is......everything a little girl wants and needs:)

Yep.....Still Preggo.

So, only 3 days until I am due, but I am convinced that Miss Lily would rather not come out. It is nice and cozy in my uterus and quite chilly outside, so I do not blame her. This may be the last time I am pregnant, so I am OK with letting her stay inside a while longer.....she's just not ready yet. My next appointment is Tuesday at 10:00 if she does not decide to make her appearance before then. I really do not want to be induced, but I might have to and that's OK.....we just want a happy and healthy baby.

Aidan the Rock Star....

We had a stay at home and clean the house day, so we stayed in our jammies and Aidan found many ways to entertain himself and us. He loves music and was pretending to rock out with the guitar. His dad and him were also dancing crazy and I should of photographed it. Lets just say it included some "Rump Shaking." LOL.

The Drive to school.....

Our son Aidan is quite the character, and the last couple weeks we have been having some cute, silly and even deep conversations on the ride to school.

This Monday we were driving and Aidan decided to tell jokes. Unfortunately he takes after my brother Cyle, but Aidan is only 4 and Cyle....well......he's almost 24. Anyway here are a few of the jokes....

Aidan: "How does a tree see?"

I answer "with its eyes."

Aidan: "Yeah...you got it right."

Aidan: "How does a tree Fart?"

Mom: "I don't know."

Aidan: "With its butt." Saying this while cracking himself up, and slapping his knee. This type of joke is known as a "Knee Slapper."

Aidan:"Ok Mom its your turn."

Mom: "I don't know any jokes."

"Ok, what about.......What did the broom say to the vacuum?"

Aidan:"I don't know."

Mom:"You suck."

Aidan loved this one....he follows it with

"What did the vacuum say to the broom?"

Mom:"I don't know."

Aidan: "You sweep."

He's Crazy......we both laughed all the way to school. You had to be there.

A Quick Blog for my Mama...

Aidan's Grandma and Papa Pierce have a Wii and Aidan loves to create Mii's and insisted a while back that we make Grandma Tina, so here she is.....I will take pics of the rest of our Mii's when I get a chance.

Just The Three Of Us...

We decided to go on one last family outing as The Three Pierces before the fourth arrives (which I hope is any day now:) We took Aidan to the Pacific Science center in Seattle, and we had a great time. We saw giant dinosaurs, beautiful butterflies, played with musical instruments and much more. We were there for three hours, and boy was mama in pain. I had to stop every so often, but I made it threw. We got some great pictures and were able to spend time with our Favorite son....our one and only Aidan.

Lily's Nursery...

So.....The Nursery is almost complete. We need to hang a few things on the wall, her name, the flowers I painted and wall hangings that came with the bed set. Also daddy needs to finish the closet by hanging a rod and some shelves, and then it should be complete and Lily can come out to play:) Here's some pics....

22 Days and counting....

Went to the Midwife today....I will be 37 weeks preggo tomorrow, and she says everything looks great. My blood pressure was a little higher than usual, but when they retook it it was 130/78, which is just fine. Baby Lily is still head down, her heart rate was perfect, and the midwife thinks she will be in the 8 lb range. So hopefully I will not deliver a toddler contrary to everyone's beliefs. Other than that, my house is a mess and I am hurting too bad to do anything about it, so I think I will take a little nap.

First Blog Post.....

I thought we should join the blogging world after many friends took the lead. We have a lot to share and this looks like fun! Hopefully I can get my family in AZ on here, and It will make it easier to share pics of the kids and keep everyone updated.

Whats New with The Pierces....

Brandon is still working at Georgia Pacific in Olympia, and pretty much likes it :)

I (Carissa) am VERY pregnant with our second child, this time a little girl. She is due in 24 days on March 25th and we are naming her Lillian (Lily). We can't wait to see her little face!

Aidan....Oh Aidan. What can I say. He is now 4 and a half going on 16. He is a curious, outgoing, vibrant little man with an attitude (he is my child after all :). He loves the outdoors, Grandma and PaPa's house, his family, Playing The Price is Right on the Wii, and just being a kid. He has blessed our lives greatly and we love him with all our hearts.
